- Main rule for instant noodles & pasta: EU labelling (Reg. 1169/2011) in the local language; products with meat, dairy or fish ingredients fall under composite-product import rules. eur-lex.europa.eu, checked 2026-10-09
- EU: check the animal ingredients in the recipe: Before quoting EU buyers, check every ingredient of the soup base, seasoning, sauce or filling. From Korea, products with any beef or pork, even as extract or powder, cannot enter; chicken must come from an EU-listed plant with an official certificate; seafood ingredients such as fish sauce or salted shrimp must come from EU-listed plants, with an official certificate and a border check if the product is kept chilled or frozen, or a private attestation signed by the EU importer if it is shelf-stable; milk and egg ingredients must come from the EU or another approved country. Recipes without animal ingredients are outside these rules. Done with your importer · eur-lex.europa.eu, checked 2026-10-15
- EU limits on animal ingredients from Korea: The EU takes animal ingredients only from approved countries and plants. From Korea, products with any beef or pork, even extract or powder in ramen, dumplings or sauces, cannot enter; chicken must come from an EU-listed plant with an official certificate and a border check; dairy and egg ingredients must come from the EU or another approved country (Korea is not listed for dairy or egg products). Check every ingredient, including flavourings, before quoting. Your company does it · eur-lex.europa.eu, checked 2026-10-13
- EU: fish and shellfish ingredients from Korea: Fish sauce, salted shrimp, anchovy, oyster sauce and other fish or shellfish ingredients make this a composite product. Each of them must come from a Korean plant on the EU list for fishery products (Korea is approved for all fishery products; the Commission publishes the plant list in TRACES). A product that has to be kept chilled or frozen also needs an official certificate (model COMP) and a check at the EU border control post; a shelf-stable one needs a private attestation from the EU importer instead. Ask your fish sauce and salted shrimp suppliers for their EU approval numbers before quoting. Done with your importer · eur-lex.europa.eu, checked 2026-10-15
